One of my favorites to use with students is CoSpaces with Merge Add-On. It may have its quirks but it is super versatile, easy to use, and incorporates tons of opportunities to be creative, incorporating coding and the ability to upload 3D assets, 2D assets, and sound files. CoSpaces also allows users to publish their work, visit it in Virtual Reality, view it in Augmented Reality on their desk or interact with it on most devices (phones, tablets, and computers).
